KS2 SATs (Year 6) overview
Three maths papers in May of Year 6: 1 arithmetic + 2 reasoning. Statutory and reported.
The KS2 maths SATs is three papers, taken over a single test week in May. Paper 1: 30 minutes arithmetic, 40 marks. Papers 2 and 3: 40 minutes reasoning each, 35 marks each. Total 110 marks.
Worked examples
Paper 1 (arithmetic): 36 questions; multi-digit calculations + fractions.
Paper 2 (reasoning): word problems, geometry, statistics, mixed.
Paper 3 (reasoning): more multi-step problems and harder material.
