Bearings
Three-figure bearings (000-359°), measured clockwise from north.
A bearing is always given as three digits (e.g. 075°, not 75°) and measured clockwise from north. Combined exam questions often use bearings with Pythagoras or trigonometry to find distances or new positions.
Worked examples
Bearing of B from A is 075°: stand at A, face north, turn 75° clockwise.
Reverse bearing: add 180° (or subtract if it would exceed 360°).
Bearing of B from A is 045° ⇒ bearing of A from B is 225°.

Why three figures?
Standard maritime / aviation convention — eliminates ambiguity. 075° not 75°.
Bearing of 0?
000° means due north. 090° due east, 180° due south, 270° due west.
